Help & Support

A little help with keeping your fragments, finding them again, and looking after your data.

Write and edit a memory

Create a memory from the timeline. Open a memory card to view details, or use its context menu to edit text, add photos, change mood or manage the entry. Fragio also supports tags, mentioned names, to-dos and reminders. Edit your display name and birthday in Settings.

Blur and reveal

Use Blur in a card’s context menu to cover its contents. Long entries collapse to a short preview; Unblur expands and reveals them. This is a display preference and does not encrypt the saved text or protect exported data.

Photos, camera and locations

Add Photos uses the system picker. Match Photos requests Photos access to find images from the selected day, week or year; limited access shows only allowed photos. Camera features need camera permission. The camera-sticker flow saves only your selected cutout, not the source photo, and does not automatically save it to Photos. Record Location Automatically in Settings → Data & Privacy controls current-location capture for new memories. Date-matched imports can still use GPS saved in selected photos when that setting is off. Apple Maps may resolve either location to a place name. Turning a setting on does not backfill old memories, and turning it off does not remove saved locations.

3D scans and scan photos

Object scanning is available on supported devices and builds the model on your device. Source photos are kept by default. Settings → Data & Privacy → Scan Photos controls retention for newly scanned objects. It does not erase previously saved photos. To remove them while keeping the model, use Scan photos → Delete scan photos in the model viewer. With photos retained, the main share action includes them in Object.zip; Share model exports only the USDZ. Review the originals for background details before sharing.

Reminders and widgets

Reminders use local notifications, so allow notifications in iOS Settings if you want alerts. The widget shows memory counts and reminders and can mark reminders complete. Reminder titles may appear on the Home Screen, Lock Screen or in notification previews according to your system settings. Adjust those settings or remove the widget if needed.

Export and import

Use Settings → Data & Privacy → Export Data to save a JSON archive containing your profile, memories, attachments and to-dos, including 3D models and retained scan photos. The current archive does not include reminders or all app preferences, so do not treat it as a complete device backup. Import Memories on the same page accepts the memory JSON format shown by Download Template; it is not a full archive restore. Initial setup has a separate archive-import flow. Keep a copy before changing devices or deleting the app, and review sensitive content before sharing.

Missing or deleted data

Check the date, timeline position and search filters first. Deleting a memory removes its record and associated comments, images, models and retained scan photos from the local database. There is no general undo or trash interface, and support cannot recover local data remotely. Database file size may not shrink immediately; reclaiming unused space is not secure erasure. Photos-library copies, previous exports and backups remain separate. Avoid deleting the app while investigating missing data.

Website fragments

The homepage form sends fragments to the website service; these submissions are publicly retrievable and are not synced into your app. Use it only for non-sensitive examples. See Privacy Policy for storage and deletion details.

Tell us what happened

Include your Fragio version (Settings → Version), iOS version, device model, what you expected, and the steps that led to the problem. A redacted screenshot can help. Do not send passwords, complete archives or private memories unless they are necessary and you choose to share them.
